Farm nestles in the valley of the Klein Rivier, 10km outside Stanford village. We offer comfortable accommodation in 5
self-catering cottages and 10 large en-suite rooms. Enjoy our safe and peaceful haven, have an exhilarating swim in our large
dam or go hiking. Don't be surprised if you startle a duiker or rheebok on the way!
On our 440ha farm we are experimenting with the growing of organic rose geranium and lavendin for essential oils. Our cattle
helps to restore our soil and you will meet our chickens, ducks and geese, some of which roam freely.

Stanford Valley Guest Farm is owned by 40plus like-minded friends, whose desire was to create, in a sustainable and
environmentally friendly way, a remarkable place that inspires them and hopefully others.
Out of this desire emerged “freewheeling”, the exciting and dynamic future thinking and sustainability festival, which is annually held at Stanford
Valley in late summer, www.freewheeling.co.za. Over a three day period some of South
Africa’s leading thinkers, economists, scientists, artists and environmentalists convene here to share and dialogue their latest ideas with
hundreds of festival guests.
